NRCM Setlist - 03/30/11
Here's the setlist from this week's episode of NRCM. No special themes, just yet another chaotic combination of tunes. The first twenty minutes or so got cut off for a baseball game, so the list is a bit short, but it is still just as spirited:
LotP Setlist - 03/28/11
Another successful installation of Lair of the Proglodyte. Came up short on music towards the end, so I threw in a couple Caravan songs.
- Nektar - A Tab in the Ocean (Side 2)
- Uriah Heep - Demons and Wizards (Side 1)
- Jethro Tull - A Passion Play (Side 1)
- Univers Zero - Ceux Du Dehors (Side 1)
- Gentle Giant - Octopus (Side 2)
- Caravan - The Land of Gray and Pink (Golf Girl and Winter Wine)

Spring Schedule
Let's see which shows I'm currently a part of this semester:
Mondays, 2-4PM
Lair of the Proglodyte:
Format: Progressive Rock
This show is a platform for one of my great musical loves; progressive rock. I suppose that was obvious, since I decided to list the format beforehand, but let's just say the reiteration was for effect. Here, I play full sides of pure vinyl straight from the WRPI archives, leaving prog long and uncut, just as the creators intended it. Expect to hear anything from the classics like Yes and Genesis to the avant-garde stylings of Univers Zero and Magma.
Mondays, 10PM-12AM
(((O))):
Format: Drone/Experimental
(((O))) isn't just a show, it is a saga chronicling the hopefully fictional adventures of Dr. Moon or Gun, myself and our various occult acquaintances. It is an adventure that spans the heaviest, darkest and oddest of sounds in the universe, from Sunn O))) to the Boredoms and back again. I can only safely recommend this show to those with the most open of minds.
Wednesdays, 6-8PM
Nasal Retentive Calliope Music:
Format: Insanity
This show is the main outlet for my various chaotic tendencies. Anything goes on this show. Folk? Yes. Death metal? Most definitely. Hip-hop? Oh yeah! Anything can and will happen. NRCM alternates between simple grab bags of eclectic music and more specific themes. The only rule is that Frank Zappa always starts the show off. Well, that and the basic tenets of quality programming.
You can listen to any of these shows only on WRPI Troy, 91.5FM, The Upstate Underground!
A Brief Introduction
So here we are, amidst the blogosphere... Who are we? Well, we turns out to be me and me is I, Gaberaham Lincoln, DJ on WRPI Troy, destroyer of worlds. What am I doing with a blog? Well, I have decided to erect this cyber bulletin board as a center for my radio campaign. This blog is the place to be if you want setlists from any of my shows, relevant updates and maybe a few self-indulgent rambling passages. I would say that serves as an adequate introduction.
